The TIAW Global Partnership Forum is an annual event presented by The International Alliance for Women, and is held in different cities around the United States.
TIAW serves to unite, support and promote professional women and their networks to work together, share resources and leverage ideas. As the umbrella organization, TIAW is made up of over 40 member associations with over 50,000 members throughout Europe, North America, Asia, Australasia, and Latin America .
Each year, a member association is selected to co-host the Global Partnership Forum in the selected venue city for that year's conference.
This year, the TIAW has selected Indian Wells, California in the greater Palm Springs area as the conference venue and the following association to co-host the conference.
Founded in 2001, Women Leaders Forum of the Coachella Valley (WLF) is a dynamic, non-partisan Coachella Valley wide organization providing leadership, mentoring and educational opportunities to women of all ages, connecting members locally, regionally, nationally and globally. WLF contributes to the empowerment of women in the Coachella Valley through its programs including Young Ambassadors, Wall Street Teens, Leadership Academy, Desert Women Entrepreneurs, and Scholarships. www.womenleadersforum.org
WLF Programs
WLF Annual Leadership Academy is an annual event that provides leadership training to the women of the Coachella Valley through featured speakers and panelists. The program also honors an accomplished woman leader in the Coachella Valley.
Desert Women Leader Entrepreneurs supports the unique needs of women business owners in the Coachella Valley. DWE facilitates gatherings to connect women business owners and provides programs to expand business knowledge.
Young Woman Ambassadors is a mentoring program designed to provide life skills, social, and financial empowerment for young women. Sessions include budgeting, overcoming barriers, personal marketing, and ethical behavior in the workplace. The goal of this program is to provide students with valuable actualization skills and tools to assure success in higher education and in their professional lives.
WLF Scholarship Program provides academic scholarships to female high school students attending college, university, or trade schools as first-year students from Coachella Valley Schools.
Wall Street Teens is an annual day-long seminar designed to empower high school students with financial and leadership skills. One young woman is also the beneficiary of the Mary T. Roche Seed Fund, a financial initiative that grants each recipient $500+ to invest under the supervision of a WLF Trustee. The awardee works on 'growing her money' and is granted the funds upon her 21st birthday.
