TIAW 30th ANNIVERSARY World of Difference Awards Luncheon OCTOBER 25, 2010 - FOUR SEASONS HOTEL TORONTO
The Marian Goetze 21st Century Award - Recipient Virgina Robinson
The Marian Goetze 21st Century
Award is bestowed annually in honour of one of TIAW's dynamic founders
and long-time Board Members Marian (Mandy) Goetze. This award is
presented to a TIAW member who has made an outstanding contribution to
TIAW, and personifies the TIAW mission. This may be a long-standing
effort or an exceptional achievement in a specific area.
The award recipient is selected by the TIAW Awards Committee, members
of which are appointed by the TIAW Executive Committee.
TIAW World of Difference Lifetime Achievement Award - Recipient Virginia Littlejohn
There are women throughout the
world whose actions, efforts and inspiration truly do make a "World of
Difference" in supporting the advancement of women. Whether it is a
small village project in a developing country that has ripple effects
throughout the community, or an event or initiative on a global scale,
the TIAW World of Difference Award recognizes the power within every
individual to change the world we live in for the betterment of women.
Each year, TIAW bestows the TIAW
World of Difference Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual TIAW
Global Partnership Forum to recognize one woman who has truly made a
difference in the lives of women.
TIAW World of Difference 100 Awards 2010
At the TIAW Annual Global
Partnership Forum in 2007, TIAW announced it was creating a new awards
program to honour women who have made an impact on the economic
empowerment of women through a wide range of endeavours. These are
often the “unsung heroines” of our societies, ordinary
women who accomplish extraordinary things. The motto of TIAW is
“Connecting to Make All the Difference in the World”. It
was decided that each year, TIAW would honour up to 100 award
recipients who have made a difference to the economic empowerment of
women by naming them to the TIAW World of Difference 100 list.
TIAW Honourary Chairs - We wish to thank the Honourary Chairs of the TIAW World of Difference 100 Awards Haifa Al-Kaylani, Andrina Lever, Mei Sim Lai, Ineke Bussemaker, Kelly Watkins, and Sarmite Bulte.
Congratulations to these exceptional women who truly "make all the difference in the world".
